Nascondiglio is located on a “spine” of hills stretching from the mountains to the sea and on either side are located the river valleys of the Tronto and Tesino.
Across the latter, one finds Ripatransone which is the highest town in the area and offers amazing views of the Marche and a bit furthur west is Montalto with its beautiful cathedral and views of its own.
Offida is just 10 minutes from us and has a charming plaza which is used for concerts and fairs throughout the summer as well as the famous festival for Carnevale.
Offida is also famous for the lacemaking still practiced there as well as the eponymous wine and Santa Maria della Rocca, a church perched on a precipice.
Castignano has a renowned medieval reenactment each year and Monteprandone is known for its ancient bastions.
Towards the coast is the beautiful village of Acquaviva with its imposing fortress and interesting museums.  The small village of Grottammare is divided into an elevated old section with great views of the Adriatic coast and of course the beach portino, while just south is San Benedetto with its historic center and medieval walls and Porto d’Ascoli voted the best “lungomare” in Italy.
More information on each of these villages can be found on our blogsite at www.Nascondigliodibacco.blogspot.com
